Faith-based politics is xenophobic nonsense. The archbishop should tend to his own vassels and tassels, and leave politics to the politicians and voters.

Teddy, Levada is armpit deep in the U.S. cover-up and pay offs of victims of the clergy sex abuse. When their own priests have sex with underage boys, they not only get to receive communion/the Eucharist, they get to continue as priests dispensing the Sacraments.

If you can get someone in the GLBT press to write about the billions the Roman Catholic Church has spent paying for “treatment” for priests, for lawyers, for payoffs, and paid out in damages, imho, it would really hurt the Catholic Church where it hurts.

The Santa Rosa diocese (iirc just north of SF??) is a poster child over the decades for taking priests who had a previous history of abuse. Everybody did it, Santa Rosa and a lot of dioceses in Texas and LA just did it more frequently.

When Pelosi fights for the right for all adults to marry, they deny her the Sacraments.
