What I don’t understand is why Reid didn’t make Lieberman a take it or leave it offer. I’m pretty sure the religious right has them shut out of every civil right possible around here already.</p> <p>The silver lining in this loss is the highlighting of the religious elements into our political process. The blowback for Mormons (and religion in total) will continue to mount. They have made themselves a fair target in mounting this assault on human rights in America. Tax churches that participate in politics. End of discussion.</p> <p>In the longer term, it helps to laugh at them and mock them. It’s not a ‘nice’ way to act, but it’s appropriate.
