I’m thrilled the Republicans are airing their dirty laundry in public. Journalism is the first draft of history and if it’s true that Sarah Palin thought Africa was one big exotic country, that’s something we ought to know, going forward.
On the other hand, Republican aides lie a lot. So, we should probably take some of the more extreme claims about Sarah Palin’s ignorance with a grain of salt.
I find it ironic that McCain aides are backbiting Sarah Palin for her "temper tantrums." When John McCain pitches a fit, he’s a fightin’ maverick. When Palin gets mad, she’s a rogue diva.

About FDL Action
Ken Silverstein writes:
====================================
Hence these anonymously sourced stories now pouring forth about Palin being a moron, a “hillbilly from Wasilla,” hot-headed (so unusual in a politician, so unlike McCain), and even a bit of a vamp. (“One night, Steve Schmidt and Mark Salter went to her hotel room to brief her. After a minute, Palin sailed into the room wearing nothing but a towel, with another on her wet hair.”)
==================================
Elected officials should be so uptight that they wouldn’t momentarily talk to staff while wearing two towels? I don’t want them to be that uptight.
Silverstein seems to think the towel story is a fabrication.
wow! refreshing commentary!
right on.
Newsweek reported the towel story, and named four people involved (Sarah Palin, Todd Palin, Steve Schmidt and Mark Salter.) None of them have denied it.
I believe the towel story.
Yes, republican aides lie a lot. But so do republican Senators. Especially (it seems) ones who run for higher office, like John McCain. If you remember, he is the guy, who said his campaign had fully vetted Palin.
Out of ALL the lies and half truths, that McCain spoke, the vetting of Palin has still got me pissed off! I don’t know if McCain will live to be 100 or 73, but, what if he had won the election and died one month into office? Just think about that for a minute. McCain was ready willing and able to sellout “Country first” just for the sake of political showmanship!
Palin should just head back to Alaska and stay there. Oh, and if Sarah Palin is reading this, take your buddy Joe LIEberman with you!
