I agree about the level of overall in-appropriateness.

It’s not the towel, it’s the overall appropriateness. Like I said, LBJ taking meetings on the toilet, Lee Atwater pissing in front of a reporter: It shows a degree of “I’m more important than you.” She wasn’t ready on time, and she made it a point to let them know her time was more valuable that theirs by showing up in a towel–and like her wink, it’s a cheap little bit of coy and folksy sexual gotcha that’s sorta off base.

And couldn’t she have grabbed the robe provided by good hotels, and not done the towel trick?
