Obama has a lock on San Francisco, so I’m taking today off to GOTV for my local candidate for the Board of Supervisors. I feel like an idiot standing on a corner waving a sign but, maybe, a few folks will remember my guy and go down ballot for him.

Never have I seen a presidential race so totally suck the oxygen out of the local contests like this one.

Tomorrow (well actually, today!) is an off-day for me, so I have the luxury of getting to the polls whenever I want. But since VA is now a battleground state, I bet we’re going to be seeing some long lines for once. Very exciting!

I will be staying in line tomorrow. Work has already been warned that i may call late if they’re that long! But they know i’ll be up early, regardless. Cellphone at the ready to call if it looks like i’m still waiting when 1pm rolls around, and also on hand while i work afterwards. Since i’ve got a friend who will texting me updates as the evening wears on. I refuse to be stuck in the no information at ALL bubble at work in my pharmacy.
