Blue Texan spotted this link to a lovely billboard that appears along Interstate 10 near El Paso, Texas. At least it doesn’t say "Spermatizoans for Palin."
Why make the effort in Texas? Well, just 45 miles north of El Paso, along I-10, is Las Cruces, New Mexico, the state’s 2nd largest city. Lots of folks from Las Cruces and surrounding communities along the Rio Grande River travel to/from El Paso and its sister city, Juarez, Mexico to shop, visit friends and relatives. Its a huge Hispanic area.
So the billboard is probably aimed at New Mexico voters, not just Texans.

Hey Teddy, did you see Julia Rosen’s latest poll info on prop 8?
Field poll 10/30= 44 Yes, 49 NO
Survey USA 11/1= 47 Yes, 50 NO
The offensive subtext to this billboard is that the rival ticket is comprised of baby-killers. Classy indeed.
No ads will help
No radio spots will help
No billboards will help
It’s hopeless.
As long as each and everyone of us goes out and casts the vote that counts.
That’s El Paso for you, classy, classy classy. It’s a fucking armpit
Can’t tell from the picture, but why would I be willing to wager that the billboard company is Clear Channel?
Not sure why I saw a McCain “Straight Talk Express” bus here in Gainesville, FL, this morning, but there it was, just a few blocks off I-75, pulling into a Wal-Mart parking lot with a large RV trailing it. We were stopping at an adjacent grocery for a quick purchase and I got to give a one finger salute to someone putting very disgusting anti-abortion fliers on all the windshields in the parking lot. Palin was a few miles south in Ocala yesterday, but neither she nor Johnny is in FL until McCain comes later today. They must have just been repositioning the bus for later.
Singer/songwriter and would-be Texas governor Kinky Friedman had a song titled “Asshole From El Paso.”

Ah, let’em have their nasty ol’ billboard………*WE’VE* got the Freeway Blogger! *G*
LOL! If Bill wasn’t such a cad he’d have sprung for the dry-cleaning and saved himself and the country a whole lot of trouble in the bargain. Then again, if he wasn’t a cad he wouldn’t have been fishing in the WH intern pool.
McCain Voter Fraud (footage) it’s happening right now! A must see for this election…because this could be you!

OT but a little stand up for TX The Ausin American Statesman (Statesman.com) had already endorsed Obama about 3 weeks ago. But again, in today’s paper, it ran a very good recap to sum up its reasons and argument. A very good piece if you want a good read. So proud of the Statesman. They also endorsed my Dem opponent (Doherty) but also Cornyn the Bush clone. But today’s piece is nice.
Well, that’s good! But here’s a post from the Morning Call website that takes the “Victoria Jackson” award for Wingnuttery!

Are we in EPU territory yet?
David Broder was on MTP today saying that he’s proud of both Obama and McCain for keeping race out of the campaign. Yeah, you read that right. I guess Broder isn’t too good at reading between the lines, or in hearing innuendo.
