I don’t doubt that McCain is guilty as sin, but nothing in your bolded portion counts as evidence. The investigators believe that McCain is guilty? Opinion, not admissible. Besides, no kidding? An investigator thinks someone is guilty? When has an investigator not thought he knew who was guilty? And a Senator says McCain is guilty? Hearsay, not admissible.

Before this campaign ends, John McCain must answer these new questions about the Keating Five investigation.

Reality check, please. Not going to happen. In fact I doubt the media (other than MSNBC, maybe) will run with this story with only one day left.

Couldn’t the New Republic have rushed this piece out a week or two ago, when it might have done some good?

Sirs, you seem to forget one important fact in all of this nonsense about what ethical violations Senator McCain may or may not have committed on behalf of his good personal friend Charles Keating, and that is this:

For over five long year, John McCain was not able to “leak” anything to anybody, because he was a Prisoner Of War in Vietnam! He didn’t have media access, nor a telephone, or even any personal staff. It was these conditions that led him to invent the Blackberry, much in the same way that Tony Stark invented the Iron Man suit.

So my friends, before you go criticizing him, remember that he fought for his country. He crashed planes and gave up information under torture - for his country. Dumped his first wife for his country. And is now running for President for his country. Because his country needs him to do these things.
