Obama goes on the air with "Something" ad in Arizona today (YouTube above), likewise MoveOn’s "Obamacan" ad.
No wonder McCain is forced to campaign in Arizona today. Too bad for him.

Has Obama decided to come to AZ yet? Or has he determined he won’t?
Obama speaking in Iowa now. Wonder if he’ll make it out to Arizona, that would be awesome.
Sweet!
my heart bleads…poor poor McCain, having to defend his own state
man, if he loses his state it will be the death throw of his political career
though I am certain he will become the most successful lobbyist Evah
I think he should retire forevah!
Orange Co FL-battleground of the battleground sez Hillary. Thru 10/30:
2008
Dem 62,738
R 24,369
Oth 20,771
TTL 107,878
2004
Dem 37,604
R 25,595
Oth 16,003
TTL 79,202
The “others” are up, too. Wonder how they’re breaking?
Winning AZ would be sweet.
cranberry bread in the oven, halloween costume all finished and ready to go and John McCain having to defend his home state (adopted). Now this is a very good day *g*
man, watching this advertisement, this man looks more presidential then anyone I remember running for office
my partisan gut says go into McW’s turf and make him grovel (like Reagan did to Mondale in MN, pre-landslide).
Obama’s better nature will hold back, sparing McFlameout the indignation and humiliation.
Do you think Cindy will throw him out if he loses his Senate seat too?
Obama taking AZ would be very sweet indeed.
I can’t help but feel like we’re (collectively) the guy holding the garlic-laced stake over the vampire at the end of the 8-year-long horror movie.
Is it just me?
Going against the grain, I want Obama in the states he needs to reach 270…period. Sure, it would be nice to win AZ, but I really don’t care all that much. I want him locking down those 270 ev’s.
I admit it, I’m a wreck.
370 has a nice ring to it.
It does feel a bit like that. Just keep in mind this isn’t the original, we’re in about the 3rd or 4th sequel right now (maybe more).
And the monster just keeps coming back.
And each sequel gets a little bit worse.
My wife’s cousin lives near Phoenix and told us last week the race there was trending towards Obama.
He looks more Presidential than the current President!
In all fairness, some of the Halloween decorations in my yard look more Presidential than the current President.
Who doesn’t?
You make much sense. We need what is going to elect Obama.
He just said You don’t need to boo, you just need to vote. (in Iowa)
You’re not alone. My nerves are fried, frayed and frazzled.
My smiley won’t show!
This guy looks more Presidential than our current President.
Here’s a quote from TPM that you might identify with:
But, you have to admit, there is a distinct similarity.
Now that you mention it, are you sure that’s not a snapshot of our current President?
“No wonder McCain is forced to campaign in Arizona. Too bad for him.”
I’d like to see Obama win AZ without even having to set foot there. Now THAT would fuck McCain’s shit up.
I can hear Livia Soprano now, “Ahhhh, poa’ yewwww!”
No it’s clearly not. I thought so too at first, but as I looked at the photo I saw some intelligence in the eyes. So it’s clearly not W.
*passing out homemade cranberry bread and tea for the frazzled nerves*
It’s almost over pups, hang tough
Emptywheel had a post about this earlier today:
How can McCain run for PResident if he was born in Panama? Is their a Military Base Exclusion in the Constitution? Was Panama a commonwealth of the US?
Why didn’t anyone press the issue about Residency requirements for Dubya and Cheney? Weren’t both of them TX Residents? That is also unconstitutional.
Yeah, but I think we’ve got the sumbitch this time.
This one won’t be close enough to steal.
If Obama ‘loses’ this election, pigs will take flight.
McSame’s got to win all six states Bush ‘won’ that he’s currently losing in, then flip Pennsylvania and pray Nevada or New Hampshire turn as well.
Not. Gonna. Happen.
Black turnout is through the roof (did you see the video from Atlanta today on MSNBC?), independents are favoring Obama by a huge margin (thanks Sarah), and the youth vote will be probably 2-1 Obama.
Latinos are probably gonna break 10-15% higher for Obama than they did for Kerry now they know the GOP really didn’t give a damn about them in the first place.
But McCrabby is supposed to make this close?
How?
I’ve been thinking lately that one of the reasons Big Pharm is so in the pockets of the Republicans is so that they can continue to keep Americans sedated.
I remember that after 9/11, there was an increase in folks abusing drugs and alcohol. People who had quit smoking, started again.
Here’s a cold one to an Obama win and a return to a healthy America. (that’s supposed to be a joke.)
Here’s our President.
I remember seeing that pic of W and wondering how he got his mouth to do that. Guess he hasn’t evolved enough.
Woo hoo! New Daily Kos poll informs:
“We’ve already seen our own poll from Arizona showing a neck-and-neck race. Over the next couple of hours we’ll release polls from Georgia and North Dakota showing similar results. This is the real deal, and we are well within reach of winning all three of these states.”
For a sweet Halloween visual, go:
Which one?
http://www.buzzflash.com/
(I blame it on the nerves.)
Both are pictures of him, just different lighting.
Ah, of course!
cute: Josh Marshall’s kid as
chimpya monkey.Several Republican customers have been very cranky about the election. They repeat things they hear from Limbaugh, et al. Since they are customers and business is slow, I hesitate to talk politics with most of them in any overt manner.
It is interesting how readily they have turned against Dubya. I would like to say this to them, “You want to talk about Obama’s qualifications and experience after you foisted the Dubya on us for eight years? Are you kidding me?”
Oh, I think we’ve got a good chance to win this election. I’m just saying the Right isn’t going to go away. They’ll come back for an even more horrible sequel in 4, 8 or 12 years (hopefully longer).
. . . for the Term of the Living Dead.
How sweet it would be if Obama drank McCain’s milkshake all up in his home state…
The monster, dangerously wounded, will be back on Nov 5. It you thought the right wing conspiracy that tried to impede the Clinton presidency was bad, I suspect you aint seen nuttin yet. I expect the villification of Obama to get even worse after the election.
And for those who’ve forgotten, bushorchimp.com is still up and functioning.
New BT up
Hi Jane and Pups. A few days ago I dropped off my absentee ballot at a county office building in Sarasota Co., FL. This is a very red part of the state. Katherine Harris used to be our rep. There was gridlock in the parking lot. The line for voting was to the back door of a very large building, along a hallway that snaked to the front. My guess it was 1/10 mile long. Please note this was the 10th day of early voting, mid-afternoon when traffic is generally light.
In 2006 18,000 undervotes sent an R to congress. He won by a few hundred votes.
To all Pups with frazzled nerves, I’m one with you on this.
Zounds!
Where is Petro when we need a meditation quick fix?
The Canal Zone was considered US Territory till 1979 I believe.
My wife was born to her Ranger father there.
It was hell to get our marriage certificate because her bith certificate was Panamanian.
OTOH Senator/soon President Obama’s promised bi-partisan cabinet should give some pause to the worst of the slimey miscreants.
arizona is a symbolic get for the obama campaign

“How can McCain run for PResident if he was born in Panama? Is their a Military Base Exclusion in the Constitution? Was Panama a commonwealth of the US?”
The Constitution states that a President must be a “natural born” citizen. The early records of the Republic indicate that this meant individuals both “born within” the United States (jus soli) , but also those whose parentage made them a citizen (jus sanguinus). The contrast with “natural born” is “naturalized”…who become citizens through a “process” of residency, service, and oaths. McCain is a “natural born” citizen because his parents were. In addition he was born on a territorial possession of the United States. Obama is a natural born citizen because he was born in Hawaii, and also because his mother was a US citizen.
“Why didn’t anyone press the issue about Residency requirements for Dubya and Cheney? Weren’t both of them TX Residents? That is also unconstitutional.” Cheney was a voting resident of Wyoming.
