Twenty million dollars in Mormon contributions to Prop 8 notwithstanding, one of the Bay Area’s most prominent Mormons and a Bay Area sports hero has "Vote NO on Prop 8" signs in the windows at his Palo Alto home, and has even incorporated "No on 8" messages into the family’s Halloween yard decorations.
Former San Francisco 49ers’ Hall of Fame quarterback Steve Young has two official "No on 8" signs in the windows of his house in Palo Alto. On Friday, there were also three Halloween-themed signs in Young’s yard that also urged people to reject the gay marriage ban.
Young’s wife, Barbara, has also donated approximately $50,000 to the "No on 8" campaign aimed at defeating Proposition 8. Steve Young, answering a doorbell ring at his home late Friday afternoon, declined to comment about the signs in his yard.
But in an e-mailed statement to the gay rights group Equality California, Barbara Young wrote: "We believe all families matter, and we do not believe in discrimination, therefore, our family will vote against Prop. 8."
Also worth noting: In addition to Steve Young’s iconic status as a Hall of Famer, he is the great-great-great-grandson of the patriarch of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Brigham Young.

This is further demonstration of the completely new era that is upon us. Obama is an example of this as well. It’s mostly a generational shift that’s happening (yes, there’s always exceptions), and it’s making me extremely excited for the future.
Our task will now be to make sure we don’t the 1990s happen again. We cannot let complacency set in among Liberals, and we must keep the pendulum swinging to the Left, rather than stopping right of the middle like we did during the Clinton years. The economic and cultural gains of the 1990s will be even greater if we continue pushing things to the Left this time.
Steve Young is a good example of the seeds of change that are out there that we need to water regularly. We have a golden opportunity and we must take advantage of it. Blue America and the Accountability Now projects will be some of the main catalysts for continuing the swing, and each of us most continue to support these efforts, otherwise it’ll all fizzle out once again.

The live local news here in Los Angeles channel 5 was covering the Halloween celebration on Santa Monica Blvd. in West Hollywood. The two news casters were being very jovial and in a great mood until the very tall latino tranny standing behind them decided to flash her huge tits for the camera. The look on the two newscasters’ faces was priceless. Happy halloween from L.A.!

Every day I get another yes on 8 mailer. Each are so full of untruths it is disgusting.
Imagine if the no on 8 mailers were to sink to making equally false statements and specious assumptions, they might read that ” the yes on eight campaign is nothing more than the first step of the Mormon church to once again legalize polygamy. Today they want marriage to be defined as a union between one man and one woman next they will want to define marriage as a union between one man and eight women and they will want this to be taught to our children in elementary schools. Remember,polygamy happened in Utah and the children there were taught it was normal so yes,if 8 passes, polygamy could happen in the not to distant future in California. Beware ,yes on eight is just the first step…be afraid,be very afraid.”

The decision, finally, to focus on the Mormons was a good one, I think. Who wants to take advice about marriage from the Mormons, anyway? Their track record on the subject isn’t so swell. And, there’s a bonus: only 3% of California voters are Mormon, so marginalizing them wasn’t too hard.
