MoveOn For Obama in Arizona: Putting McCain On the RunBy: Jane Hamsher Thursday October 30, 2008 1:40 pm |
"Obamacan," grand prize winner of MoveOn.org’s "Obama in 30 Seconds" contest, starts running in Arizona tomorrow.
"I’m a lifelong Republican, and I’m voting for Barack Obama."
Sweet.
That’s going to sting.
I love it.
great!
In Arizona! Love it
John McSFB? Meet million ton shit hammer.
Video no longer avaiable.
wtf?
Worked for me. Twice.
I clicked through to youtube and it played.
game on in AZ?
Worked here just fine.
Razing (Republican’t) Arizona.
Nice.
Dis is gonna hurt a widdle … or mebbe a lottle.
How great would it be for McSFB to lose his great state of Arizona?
I loved it. WIth the military drum beat and all the McCain like imagary and then “i’m going to vote for Obama”
Almost like a punch line.
If nothing else, it would force the Rs to STFU about McGovern and Gore both losing in their home states.
operator error proly, you know how dumb us dogfaces is.
it would be a certain degree of poetic justice.
I don’t think anything will make the Rethugs STFU. Beatin’ their gums together is all they got.
I like the third add in
it tells us how nice it would be have filerbuster proof majority
Did ya’ll see wassup 2008 ?
Too too true. But a boy can dream…
Off to feed to squirrels. Got a new really young female who’s finally learned to trust the nut(ty) guy.
it would be a TOTAL rePUDiation of bush, of rove, of the republican party
it will probably mean banishment for mccain from the ranks of the elite in his party, he will be embarassed and demoralized
it will possibly mean the rebuilding of their party too
it will give the real concervatives new voice, they will be able to renounce the southern strategy, renounce the theo-crats, the neo fascists, the libertarians
mccain losing his state might be the very best thing that can happen to the republican party, they might use it as the call to throw out the fascists who have highjacked their party
or maybe not
sounds like a personal problem!
You can’t make up how doofus these idiots are
Emptywheel has the video
A Boy and His Dog?
great video. i’m thrilled that mccain has to spend resources in arizona
OT
Don Johnson really has gone to the dogs many times over the years hasn’t he?
People in the Middle for Obama
PEACE ~ Have a nice day!
He’s not the only one. sweet indeed.
I love the idea that Obama may go to Arizona to drive the stake in McCain’s heart.
If bumper stickers were key to the election, Obama would carry my suburban Atlanta area. Tuesday here could be problematic. My son purchased a house in Sandy Springs in 2001 and registered to vote and has voted in his new district. Just by happenstance, because I was checking my own registration since I moved, I discovered that the secretary of state changed my son’s registration address to our former home, where he grew up. Obviously, his license will not match that address. I voted yesterday and the poll worker said that particular problem where the state just changed your registration to an earlier one is coming up a lot. Since he is in the same county she suggested that he try to vote early because it would be easier to handle. I figure Tuesday here is going to be a mess.
oh please oh please oh please *g* I would watch with much joy (guess i’m succumbing to my darker side)
that was for Elliot @ 31
Thanks Jane.

i just came back from canvassing in New Hampshire (Nashua) and i heard that a couple of times – “i’ve been a lifelong Republican, but something’s gotta change. We are all voting for Obama.”
Not only were lots of Mass peeps in the Nashua office, but two kids from England went out canvassing and enjoyed the experience; Edward Capel and Angus Rance from Clapham, London.
Raven, are you around? If so read my comment at 32 and see if you can figure out what’s happening in our state. My son voted in 2004 and 2006 at his new residence including the new mayor when Sandy Springs became a city and now he is no longer registered there.
Neil,
Old, (I do mean old, as in as old as McCain, 72) Liddy Dole has put forth an ad that would rival old Jessie Helms, may he rest in peace. Jessie was famous for playing the race card ads in the last days of his elections. Liddy, has upped the ante and played the you-are-a-godless-atheist card.
You know, this is getting OLD.
Heres a video that you may like. Watch it and find out. “McCain Voter Fraud” on youtube.com. Heres the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZGF-HEd6XnA
Wassup 2008 is brilliant. i’ve watched it several times.
Kay Hagan’s response ad is dynomite! Dole may have Bachmanned herself

Wouldn’t it be great if Sandra Day O’Connor would come out in support for Obama. Now that she is retired I think that she just might if approached by the right people.
I just don’t think that a view from Athens is accurate. I can say this, I have gone to the ATL 4 times in the last month for meetings and the visible Obama supporters are overwhelming. Most of the UGA football games have seen far more “Dawgs for McCain” stickers but I did see some Obama ones at the Vandy game. I lay low at football because of my mouth and aggressive tendencies, The other thing about UGA is that these are much more upper middle class people since it took a minimum $10,000 donation just to be able to BUY tickets. Athens itself is very much liberal.
Then again the asshole Banana Herald endorsed saxby today.
Off to the phone bank. bbl
Actually I was hoping that you might comment about how my son’s polling place and address was changed. He hasn’t moved and now the state changed his address. The poll worker said that was happening a lot. It’s odd.
How vets could possibly vote for McInsane is beyond me – he sucks on veteran’s issues
My son is pretty pragmatic and his statement is they can’t f***ing just change my polling site and address and I will vote.
My right wing conservative (as in Utah Mormon) friend in PHX just told me he voted early — against Palin.
Terrific, but I’d really like to see Obama shore up the various Senate seats: Franken in MN, Hagen in NC, Merkley in OR, Musgrove in MS, Martin in GA, Allen in ME and Lunsford in KY.
While it would be nice to deal McCain an insulting body-blow in AZ, the thrill of that will wear off fast, and the fact of any of the Republican winners in the above-noted races will last 6 years.
Think how fabulous it would be to bid Mitch McConnell buh-bye, or let the door hit Chambliss’ ass on his way out.
I think Obama can demonstrate a lot more strength and hope for the future by getting out there and pulling in as many Senate Dems as possible.
Sorry, I don’t know what to say about that.
I watched that and hooted.
I’d like to put it on a loop tape. Hope KO picks it up.
Ever see interviews with vets about flag burning? I hate to say it but, since I’m a vet, vets ain’t all in the mensa society if you know what I’m sayin.
It’s like the twilight zone. The poll worker did say they were having lots of problems because of the purge the state was trying.

Great (guy)movie. Harlin Ellison wrote the story.

That’s short & sweet and I’d love to see that kind of ad running in Wyoming to help Nick Carter beat Barrasso. Right now, as is typical of WY, Carter is far behind. But, I just watched their debate on C-SPAN and it was clear Carter is first rate and would win is just about any other state.
If Obama has lots of free cash and if there are some nice ads packaged and ready to go, then that’s one place I’d like to see ‘em run.
Wyoming deserves better political representation. Help Nick Carter!
