I have absolutely no idea what John McCain thinks Todd Palin’s abilities to do manly stuff means when applied to the idea that his wife should be considered qualified for President of the United States. I can only surmise that John McCain just likes manly stuff; after all, John McCain was only ever afforded teh manly by virtue of his father and grandfather’s military history. Perhaps he simply respects some dude who actually does guy stuff under his own steam.

As for Ms Palin’s qualifications; it has been presented again and again that she has more “executive” experience than Barack Obama or Joe Biden put together. I accept that as a fact, but I call foul on the fallacy of drawing equivalence between two disparate circumstances.

For instance; I have a friend who actually went through the process of becoming a certified umpire for little league baseball games. He loves baseball, but if I’m honest, he really wasn’t much of an umpire. Now, technically, he has more umpiring experience than, say, Joe Torre (because Joe Torre seems never to have pursued that aspect of baseball), but if there where suddenly some cosmic occurrence whereby the fate of the world depended on a baseball game, the world would be better served with Joe Torre acting as umpire; of that I have no doubt.

Similarly, if our country’s future (and perhaps the world) is dependent upon either Barrack Obama or Sarah Palin acting as umpire to determine how the game is played for the next 4 years; Sarah Palin is little league, by comparison.

For clarification purposes only, I have no idea what McCain was trying to convey on MTP when he was talking about Todd’s job and Sarah’s qualifications for VP. Maybe someone else can explain it for me.

Todd is a third shift worker according to McCain and this only adds to Ms. Sarah’s qualifications.

Alaska has the highest domestic violence rates in the nation, something Sarah has done nothing to change.
Perhaps the campaign ought to bring back that makeup artist…

She knows her role, I think. Even if it bothers Todd and Dad.

Todd can go spend two weeks with his buddies on the oil rig. Or snowmachining. Or whatever Alaska buddies do when their women are disobedient.

She really seems to seek out tight fitting and V-cut outfits in most of her appearances. That little red leather jacket has “naughty” written all over it. I wonder if the frumpy “cloud” coat she wore to one campaign appearance was Todd’s idea. “Sarah, these guys are here, not because of your message but for YOU. Don’t overdo it…get them to listen to the message.” So maybe he suggested she back off a little.

But I see that she’s right back to the form-fitting apparel.
