McCain has said repeatedly he is better qualified to be POTUS because of his leadership and experience. Well, the 2 things we have had as an example of both has been his management of his campaign and his selection of a running mate.

wow!! Where does one even begin? His campaign is almost schizophrenic in it’s dysfunction and incoherence, It is not clear what he is for or would do as much as what he is against. Obama, over and over and over. I’m sorry, that is not a valid reason to be the leader of the free world. You don’t get it just because you think it’s your turn. Or by painting horns and tail on your opponent.

And how can he ask us to trust his leadership when he can’t even control ( and by that, I mean keep on message, focused and serving the goal of electing the ticket) his own running mate! The election is not even over and she is already breaking with him and looking to 2012!! Can’t blame anyone else for Palin but himself. He should be ashamed of even thinking of putting that minor leaguer within arms reach of the nuclear button or of receiving that 3 am phone call that Clinton talked about.

Our nation ( and the rest of the world) face serious, once in a lifetime challenges that require true leadership, reasoned and rational thought, and the ability to harness divergent groups to a greater good. Seriously, if we are going to survive this as a nation, we need to start to pull together, not continue to attack and vilify each other. It seems when you have a political disagreement with someone, it is not enough to just say ‘I think you’re wrong’. No, now it has to be ‘You’re wrong and you’re so wrong you’re evil, and anti-American/(insert hateful adjective-characterization)” If McCain can’t handle some staffers, millions of dollars in campaign donations and a novice pol from the tundra up north, how can he ask us to trust our future with him based on leadership and experience?

It doesn’t even require college biology just general knowledge. Even I know that a fruit fly’s DNA is very similar to human DNA. But that sort of scientific fact is scary to a creationist. Has she ever clarified how old she thinks the earth is?

I went to wikipedia for the diffence between rogue and maverick. They sound pretty much the same. Digging a bit into the desciption, a maverick is an unbranded animal. Whereas, there is something about a rogue being stripped to the waist and branded with the letter R, for rogue. I know that sound preposterous but then there is the story of Ashley Todd. So who knows. I look forward to the next 10 days. And there was that story a few weeks ago about the McCain setting up the MILF website for Palin. Talk about branding your candidate!

If they stand close together and use six shooters in each of their respective two hands, a circular firing squad can exist with just two people.

“She has been going rogue since they decided to pull out of Michigan and Palin said she didn’t want to do that.

The woman is not a team player. Period.”

I think that sums it up nicely.

Really, what we have here is an opportunistic lightweight who’s managed to do fairly well in her own crooked little fiefdom, but is completely out of her depth in the larger world. And despite this obvious fact, she hasn’t attempted to change her usual tactics at all since the initial novelty of her nomination wore off. (Though I doubt she has the self-awareness to do so even if she wanted to.) She’s gotten by on a combination ratfucking and cutsey-poo “charm” that doesn’t hold up well under the scrutiny that a run for the White House involves purely as a matter of course. Any reasonably intelligent political operative - even a totally sleazy, corrupt one - would be capable of recognizing that as a weakness. Not Caribou Barbie, though; she’s been lucky up till now and evidently assumed that round of luck would never, ever end. Heh, heh. “Oops!”

Watching her in action, I don’t doubt for a second that Palin has every bit of the same sense of Entitlement and sheer Ego that Bush and McCain both possess in spades, but she doesn’t have the vast political machines behind her that both of those bastards have backing them up. I expect any attempts at resurfacing come 2012 will not end well for her…She’s another Dan Quayle iin the making. (And that’s if all the corruption scandals currently seeping out of Alaska like raw sewage doesn’t land her in prison.)

Yeah. Amazing, that. You spend all those years exalting the pursuit of self interest and the weakness of regarding anything but self interest and give the people who listen to you houses in the Hamptons.

Now it turns out some of these people don’t behave responsibly with other peoples’ money.

Gosh, that is shocking. Who’da thunk it.

Well, yeah, sure, she did.

But she’s never been involved in a presidential campaign before. They have. Five or six, some of them. And they’re the message discipline guys.

well, reading that Media Matters report just drove me to sign up and make a comment. Hard to believe that anyone consumed by so much hate and misinformation can sleep at night. Well, maybe that explains it. People who are chronically sleep-deprived do tend to go off the rails.
