Vote NO on 8!

After weeks of asking "Where’s Ellen?!" when it comes to No on Prop 8 dough, our questions–the questions of the bloggers, the LGBT media and folks  in general–have been answered with a hearty heartfelt hallelujah! 

Beloved talk show host Ellen DeGeneres, who married girlfriend Portia de Rossi in August, has purchased $100,000 of television air time for the No on 8 campaign to run a message she taped urging California voters to defeat Proposition 8, which would eliminate same-sex marriage in California!!!

Right on! In the commercial Ellen says that she believes "in equality for all people. Proposition 8 does not. Please, please, vote no on Prop 8."

Now where’s that Kathy Griffin?

In related news, on VP candidate Joe Biden comes out for gay marriage on Ellen. According to IN LA reporter Karen Ocamb, in an email to the Bay Area Reporter,  says Joe Biden told her that he is against Prop 8 during a fundraising event Thursday night in West Hollywood.

"I attended the Biden fundraiser in West Hollywood tonight and on the rope line I asked him if he would oppose Prop 8," Ocamb said in the e-mail. "He told me he went on Ellen’s show today and did come out against the measure."
