McCain is willing to climb over the bodies of maimed women to get to the Oval Office.
One of the most telling moments in tonight’s debate was when John McCain dismissed a health exemption for a proposed ban on late-term abortions, claiming that the health of the mother could mean "almost anything" to the "pro-abortion" crowd.

I have to respond to this. I shared about a year ago on this. I will share it again.
Five years ago my husband and I went through a high risk pregnancy and almost lost our child. At the same time, a sister was also going through a tragic pregnancy. Just a week and a half after our baby was born, our expecting family member was notified that the baby she was carrying had down syndrome and multiple birth defects and would not make it full term. A few days later, the almost full term baby died inutero. Her previous pregnancies had been difficult deliveries and ended in c-sections. Thus, she was not a candidate to be induced due to risk of rupture. The doctor told her she would spontaneously labor. She did not and was starting to show signs of resulting health issues of going so long with the dead fetus inutero.
She lived in a state which made third term abortion illegal except in the case of the mother’s health. Unfortunately, her doctor explained that she needed the procedure done ASAP and that the process for filing the paperwork for her “in the case of the mother’s health” situation would take too long and she would probably die. He sent her to an out of state facility three and a half hours away, having to leave their young children at home while all were dealing with grief. She was never admitted to a full hospital, just a clinic and was told she had to stay overnight in a local hotel and return in the morning for a follow-up exam to make sure she was okay. She and her husband asked if they could have the remains cremated. They were told the remains had to be sent back to their home state for the coroner to rule that the fetus had died inutero due to complications and then the remains would be treated as medical waste. Therefore, no.
They were read a statement by an official in their home state explaining that if the coroner disagreed with the conclusions of the OB, that they and the OB would be liable for the fetus’ death and could be tried in the court of law.
In the case of the health of the mother, the system “works” so completely void of compassion and is so unhelpful to the grieving family. It may be about 11%.
Jeez, Lindsay, what’s the problem? It’s only women, my friends.
I meant to close with It may be 11%, but the 11% are real people with real and private health issues.
Way to win over those Hillary Clinton voters, the extreme pro-abortion crowd.
Rachel Maddow hammering McLame on it right now.
(((klynn)))
Klynn, what a heart wrenching story. I’m glad you’re spreading the word. This is exactly what people need to hear.
Nobody gets a late-term abortion on a lark. Later this week, I’m going to be interviewing a woman who is telling her late-term abortion story in the hopes of overturning her state’s ban. She was pregnant with twins–one had no hope of survival and the other would surely die if nature were allowed to take its course. So, she decided to abort one fetus to save the other.
Oh my stars. Klynn. Your sister has my utmost sympathy and wishes for universal good will. I can’t imagine going through such a situation.
And by the way, Best wishes for you and yours.
As someone whose family member went thru the horrors of being raped and impregnated, and as someone who has stood up to the likes of “Opression Rescue” defending women’s clinics in the late 80s & early 90s, to here that doddering asshat say what he said about “the health of the mother” almost made me fly off my chair head on into the TV set.
Ah yes, I’m sure you’ll now have many undecided woman voters flocking to you in droves, Senator.
happy retirement!
