John Atlas provides some valuable context for L’Affaire ACORN. We already know how much Republicans hate community organizers. But why are the feds targeting this particular group weeks before the election?
The thing is, ACORN specializes in registering poor people to vote–1.6 million of them in the last two national elections alone. You may remember that US Attorney David Iglesias was fired in part because he refused to cooperate with an earlier ACORN vendetta issued by the White House.

Nice photo!
Where were all these wingnut vote integrity activists when those black boxes were spitting out negative vote totals for John Kerry in 2004? The various voting (actual voting, not registration) problems in 2004 were off the charts, yet I don’t remember hardly a peep outta Repubs or Pox Newz, unless it was one of those isolated incidents where it effected about 5 people and might’ve had some Dems involved.
Ain’t it the truth: Now acting like they had never heard of a voter fraud question. What’s the quote? There are none so blind as those who will not see. Nothing going on in 2000/Florida? 2008 Ohio? Nahhhhh.
