Knight Rider fans expecting to tune into the latest adventures of the talking car on NBC October 29th are going to find half an hour of Barack Obama instead. The half hour campaign promo will also also air on CBS, rescheduling the comedy The New Adventure of Old Christine and completely pre-empting Gary Unmarried, a sitcom most people never knew existed anyway.
At press time, America’s Next Top Model on the CW has not been affected. But that’s what TiVo’s for.
Remember Ross Perot broadcast himself in 2000, and Hillary bought time on the Hallmark Channel, so there’s precedent. And the networks have said they’ll make time available for McCain as well. Now that’ll be comedy.
