Her mother was the American icon Ann Landers, and Margot Howard has carried on in the family busines,  first writing the advice column Dear Prudence–a tip of the hat to the Beatles–and now a column under her own name on Yahoo! where she dispenses  no-nonsense advice spiced with earthy  zingers.

 Monday as guest columnist for WowOWow, The Women On the Web, she offered up her opinions on Sarah Palin and the McCain campaign’s attempt to smear Barack Obama:

 I wish there were a word that was a cross between "appalled" and "nauseated," because that’s what the lady’s latest outburst has me feeling….Well, I’ll tell you what I see: a loud-mouth, loose-lipped nobody who is drunk on media attention and a quart low in the judgment department. I think both she and her aged "maverick" buddy owe Mr. Obama an apology for this one…I think this hockey mom/moose skinner fits perfectly into the class war she is helping perpetuate, even though she has none.

Then, after airing some of Sarah’s dirty laundry, Margot offers more of her own opinions, concluding with this piece of advice:

I think the McCain people better lock the lady up again and tell her to zip it, because she is not fit to even ad-lib. 

Wow. Oh wow.
