A group of union members is traveling to battleground states challenging John McCain’s economic agenda. Yesterday the bus pulled up in front of McCain campaign HQ in Toledo, Ohio.
The workers call themselves the Change to Win Truth Squad. The project is sponsored by Change to Win, a federation of several major unions representing about 6 million members in total.
The Truth Squad is chronicling their campaign exploits at the Worse Than Bush blog.
CtW is one of several unions shaping the debate around the Wall Street Crisis. Last week, CtW unveiled a $350 billion dollar alternative to the Bush/Paulson bailout program. The Main Street Recovery Program would help the economy by supporting the people who are really suffering in the Bush economy by saving their homes, creating good jobs, investing in infrastructure, and helping union pension plans weather the crisis.
