Despite their political differences, artist Bruce Elliot got a little bit of a crush on Sarah Palin after seeing her on TV. So he painted her portrait. Nude.

Yes, Gov. GILF is shown naked–though she didn’t actually pose for the portrait–depicted with a gun, a polar bear rug and a very scared moose. All she’s wearing is high heels and her trademark $400 glasses.

"I had never heard of her before, like everyone else. I find her bizarrely fascinating, even though I pretty much despise everything she stands for," explains Elliott whose wife, Tobin Mitchen, owns the Old Town Ale House on Chicago’s North Side.

The puchitrudinous nude, more naif than lewd, hangs on the wall with Elliot’s other paintings which include boxers, locals and Albert Einstein.

"We got a bunch of people in tonight," Elliott said. "They’re coming to take pictures with their camera phones. The photo is all over the place," he told the Chicago Tribune.
