What an opera star, that Johnny Mac. Besides the ideology, whatever ideology he is currently espousing, can anyone imagine the amount of attention this guy will need from the American populace for four years? Don’t blame me, me, me, if I give myself credit prematurely. Can you imagine: Bush on steroids.

MvCain just keeps showing what a boob he really is just like his republican brothers yet the people seem to love what they get from them. No body seems to ask if they could think of spending 700 billion dollars to bail out wall street. Why couldn’t they come up with 1400 billion dollars and put equal money into the country. 700 billion dollars would fix all our infrastructure and create real jobs as well as start programs to get us off foreign oil making more jobs and with whats left over we could fix social security get health care for all and really do something for the country. All that money flowing through the system would do more to boost the economy than we can imagine. It would make more taxes to start paying for all this and people could afford to pay for things if they were earning money. It’s funny McCain and his budds as well as all of Washington in both parties won’t spend money to make our economy really work but will spend in every way to drive it down. If you want to know whats wrong read “Why we have so many American Problems and what we can do about them” available at authorhouse.com.

Does this mean that John will “suspend his camapign” once again?

After all, the bill didn’t pass. And he was supposed to suspend until a bill was passed…for the good of the country!

Please, John, do it! Set politics aside and suspend your campaign!

I think John McCain should suspend his campaign again. Honestly, America would benefit.

Blub, I agree. It’s Bush’s policies, those who worshiped this man and who kept his policies alive who are to blame. Arrest them all…including Sen. Susan Collins who was one of his biggest jackboot lickers for years.

Sorry to be repeating myself…

“Among 38 incumbent congressmen in races rated as “toss-up” or “lean” by Swing State Project, just 8 voted for the bailout as opposed to 30 against: a batting average of .211.

By comparison, the vote among congressmen who don’t have as much to worry about was essentially even: 197 for, 198 against.”

BUT, I just saw Fox News and they have a “HOW DID YOUR CONGRESSMAN VOTE?” line up. Looks like the call from Rove was make your Congressman look good on this one!! Dunk shot!! Vote “NO!” and we’ll go with you!!!

What a bunch of boys! Let the market go to Hell so we catch a few votes.

You have to hate the GOP!!

more from chris floyd:

So Monday’s rejection of the bailout plan is not a catastrophic political defeat for George W. Bush; he has no political standing, no political future. But it is a vast and humiliating defeat for the Democratic leadership, across the board, who, as Democrat Lloyd Dogget of Texas said

“never seriously considered any alternative” to the administration’s plan, and had only barely modified what they were given. He criticized the plan for handing over sweeping new powers to an administration that he said was to blame for allowing the crisis to develop in the first place.

Now the Democratic elites have had their collective head handed to them on a platter. It is a dish most richly deserved. And although it is almost possible to believe that they will learn anything from this episode, there is now a chance — a chance — that we can at least have a discussion of alternatives to the Bush scheme.

i can’t take any pleasure in mccain looking like the idiot he is when he has so much company from congress and the country is in need of read leadership.

Actually, I blame this on shrub. If he was a human being, he’d immediately resign. His total failure on the bailout is on a scale sufficient to bring down a government in any parliamentary system.
