Rubber chicken dinner only $250K

Talk about rubber chicken dinners coming home to roost. Two weeks ago John McCain sneered at  Barack Obama for raising money in Hollywood:

He talked about siding with the people just before he flew off for a fundraiser in Hollywood with Barbra Streisand and his celebrity friends. Let me tell you, my friends, there’s no place I’d rather be than right here with the working men and women of Ohio.

And to show what a man of the people he truly is, Wednesday night McCain and his $100-millionairess wife, Cindy– who he’s lovingly referred to as as a "c*nt" and a "trollop"– will be meeting supporters who’ve paid up to as $250,000 per (solid gold) plate at a host committee  dinner and private reception at Century Plaza Hyatt Regency, sponsored by the McCain-Palin Victory California Leadership. Maybe for the right price  Jon Voight will get a glimpse of the Campaign Chest.

Those significantly impacted by the financial disaster can attend the general reception, held  for $1,000 per person, or  cough up$2,500 per person for a bonus limited edition "McCain-Palin CA" lapel pin.

This event could be incredibly lucrative for the  McCain Victory Committee; his own campaign is currently operating off of public funds. 

The celebrity guest list has yet to be released, but the cast of An American Carol is probably getting their tuxes dry-cleaned as you read this.
