The part of the debate that really annoyed me was McCain going on about how much money he’d like to save, him being a fiscal conservative and all. Believe me, he sounds exactly as Ronald Reagan did back in the day. Reagan said many of the same things and of course, his budge deficits made Jimmy Carters’ look ridiculously small.
Nah, Obama made an extremely good point. The US was initially spending $4.5 billion a month in Iraq, that grew to $11 billion a month in 2007 and now has declined to “just” $10 billion a month today. Y’all wanna save bucks, bring the troops home.

She can always quit “for her family” to save face. Granted, that will cause both calls of “backsliding for women/don’t do it, sister!” or play into a retro stereotype of women not being able to lead because of the mother-drive, depending on who’s doing the talking. However, that awesome Laker asked to be traded back to the L.A. so his kid could be treated in Los Angeles, so the “women cant lead because they have kids” argument falls flat!

And if she quits, there will be no chance of her coming back in 2012. One hopes. But America LOVES a comeback!
