Chris Rock  and Bill Clinton both appeared on David Letterman’s Late Show  last night.

The former president’s gave his views on the on the voting strategy of the American public:

The country will end up liking both of them. A lot people will end going into that polling place saying, "You know I really admire that Senator McCain, he  gave about all you could give for this country without getting killed for it. But I’ve gotta have a change, I think I’m going the other way."

Chris Rock followed him and couldn’t resist pointing out that Clinton–who had talked about Hillary’s views on the economy earlier in the show–"didn’t want to say ‘Barack Obama."  (Clinton did in fact invoke Obama’s name, saying he was "for him") 

The audience roared when  Rock kept pointing out that "Hillary lost! She lost!" but  Letterman seemed a leeeetle bit uncomy, and kept trying to shift the comedian off that particular political subject.

Rock also riffed on Palin, "She’s shooting mooses, holding a dead, bloody moose and Michael Vick is like, ‘Why am I in jail?’"
