Callers who let their fingers do the walking through the Embarq white pages in the Sussex County, NJ phone book looking for the local Democratic Party headquarters instead got hooked up with with a seductive female voice offering paid phone sex.
An Embarq spokesperson said the problem was caused by the accidental transposing of three digits which caused the Democratic party’s surprising misprint, adding that the problem had been corrected in the data base. The Democrat’s 800 number in the yellow pages was correct.

I’m glad we’re sourcing with Perez now. He needs to bleed into the political blogosphere more; Drudge is lonely.
Since it was a party headquarters that was affected, it’s campaign related, though vaguely I admit.
It was prolly a little off-putting for the good Dems of Sussex County who wanted to help out their party–and instead got a frisky wench willing to help them party hard.
It’s the weekend, so celebs are getting their mani/pedis and not stepping up to the pundit pulpit as much as I’d like. Post Emmys there should be more celebs speaking out on issues and candidates.
