Sarah’s hairdresser knows for sure. "She is very involved in her look and how she’s perceived,” according to Sarah Palin’s hairdresser Jessica J. Steele, the owner of the Beehive Beauty Shop in Wasilla who put Palin in an up-do:
We would talk a lot about how if she looked too pretty or too sexy, people wouldn’t listen to her. How important it was for people to see her as an intelligent, smart woman. It was comical when her hair was down, how big a difference that would make, especially when she was running for governor.
But since Palin’s been tapped for the Republican Number 2 spot, it’s more than her hair that’s gone up: The cost of her wardrobe has skyrocketed Palin’s been showing a taste for the finer in things, like the $2,500 jacket from Saks Fifth Avenue designed by Valentino (one of Nancy Reagan’s favorites) which she wore onstage when she accepted her VP nomination and Japanese designer glasses (the frames alone cost $400, with lens the price can double).
The "average hockey mom," who says she signed up for the PTA because she wanted to make her kids’ public education better has signed up a secret team of high-priced stylists to primp her ride to the White House.
A source close to the Palin camp told Page 6, "They do not want the American public to know that Palin is using stylists or that she is paying for expensive clothes this early on in the campaign."
Despite the high priced clothes and accessories, the glam squad is keeping keeping Palin’s foundation and eyeliner to a minimum, no doubt recalling McCain’s 1992 comment to wife Cindy about her maquillage, "At least I don’t plaster on the makeup like a trollop, you c**t."

About FDL Action
I wonder if John McCain could get a stylist to make him look like a healthy man in his early 100’s… anything would be better than the crypt keeper we’ve seen baring his death grin for the cameras. Please, please God, don’t let him win. The press conferences would kill me long before it killed him — death by fright when I turned on the television.
McCain’s health is a continual concern.
These do-gooders, what do you call them, yes COMMUNITY ORGANIZERS, they make me sick. These people who just get involved in the democratic process because they want to change something. At least we can ridicule community organizers in public, right Sarah?
