On the Rachel Maddow show this evening, it was mentioned that the Republicans sent a high-power attorney to Alaska in July to assist in getting the troopergate investigation stopped. That would indicate that Palin was short-listed as long ago as July.

The McCain campaign leased the rights to “Barracuda” by Heart a year ago!!! So, it sounds like they planned on Palin all along.

I think they were planning on running against Hillary Clinton and using that song to cast aspersions and work up the crowds.

McCain has sufficient dexterity in 1974 to be returned to flight status by the Navy, and flew high-performance attack aircraft, including qualifying in carrier landings. I would think that a keyboard would not be beyond his physical capabilities.

I want the McCain campaign to explicitly reassure Americans that McCain is not currently taking medication for chronic pain or for any other chronic condition.
