Don’t believe a word this liar says!

ANCHORAGE — A few months ago, before she was selected as the Republican vice presidential nominee, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin promised complete cooperation in the legislature’s investigation into whether she improperly fired her public safety director.

How things have changed.

A joint legislative committee Friday voted to subpoena Palin’s husband, Todd Palin, and a dozen others as part of its probe into whether the Alaska governor used her office to settle a personal score.

Lawmakers took that step because several members of Palin’s administration in recent days canceled interviews with the legislature’s investigator, former prosecutor Stephen Branchflower. In a statement, Palin’s second in command, Lt. Gov. Sean Parnell, called the investigation a “complete farce.”

She [Palin] had plenty of state funds to work with to build infrastructure and whatnot but instead, she handed unnecessary welfare funds back to every resident and had the gall to suck at the federal teat on top of that.

What this tells me is Washington Republicans were investing a lot of money in her and they only do that when they expect a return on investment.

What return on investment did they expect and get?

In fact, Obama hasn’t asked for any earmarks this year and last year, he sought $311 million worth.

Palin has cut back on pork-barrel requests, but in her two years as governor, Alaska has requested nearly $750 million, by far the largest per-capita request in the nation.

Alaska under Palin still sought more earmark dollars per-capita than any other state. Alaska requested $750 million dollars in earmarks during the time she was governor. Denying that she took earmarks is about as credible as McCain announcing he won the Tour de France (maybe he’s saving that one for next week.) And yes, Walters was correct to note that as Mayor of Wasilla, Palin was also an avid earmark seeker.

Not even Bush was this flagrant, in his campaigns. The Bush campaigns would waffle, parse, omit, and yes, lie, but there was nothing like this — a weeklong campaign in which absurd, transparently false, multiply-debunked lies are horked up again and again, with absolutely no compunction or remorse

The lies are multiplying like bunnies. Maria Comella, newly installed Palin spokeswoman got into the habit when she was press for Guilliani. Comella claims women in Alaska weren’t charged for rape exams, but in fact in documentation from scores of them, they were billed hundreds of dollars in Wasilla until the Alaska legislature forbade the practice state wide.

Do we need any more proof she’s an earmarker…it’s all right there.

And yes, on page 2 at the bottom is the $3.2 million request to study SEAL DNA!

Remember McCain, just on Sept. 10 in VA mocked the $3 million Montana BEAR DNA earmark request.

THAT is what pisses me off about Palin’s earmarks: they are ALL theft, no matter how worthy the project.
