The only violence against people was from the police.

Those who were preemtively arrested (and are now charged with “terrorism”) had done nothing illegal at all.

The amount of vandalism didn’t even come close to what happens when the University of Minnesota wins a hockey tournament. That’s a riot.

The people who were hiding their identities were the ones with the mace, pepperspray, the clubs, the “batons”, the zip-ties, the explosive projectile launchers, the rifles, the side arms, the helmets, the visors, the tear gas, the smoke grenades, the body armor… get the picture?

Who’s the terrorist?

The RNC took out a $10 million insurance policy to pay off police brutality settlements. This is the first time party host committee agreed to take out such a policy. I wonder how high their deductible is.

I’m pretty sure similar arrangements were made by the host committee in Philly and NYC (RNC 2000 and 2004) and probably for the DNCs as well.

I’ve been told that NYC didn’t *use* their insurance to pay out the settlements post-convention, but I have not researched it.

Come on now, I agree they were overtly aggressive, but having insurance to protect themselves against the numerous lawsuits (which are bound to happen) should not lead you to conclude that they are intentionally brutalizing citizens.

The Goopers are calling Protestors “anarchists” on purpose.

“Anarchist” is the opposite of Monarchist, and has the added ‘benefit’ from their point of view of being phonetically suggestive of “anti-christ.”

But, the key to their distinction is in the contrast with ‘Monarchy.’

One thing that is Rarely associated with Monarchy is Leadership. It’s not the nature of the beast – in a Monarchy, the power-structure is fixed, so the actual practices of a Monarchy are about Control, and not Leading anyone anywhere. Something the Founders knew All Too Well…

What you brave folks experienced at the RNC was the Goons of the Monarchy strong-arming US, in order to Maintain the Status Quo of Their “Do as I say, Not as I do” Control.

It takes Great Courage to wade into a Court of Hypocrits, who can Barely Conceal their Craven Self-Interest, and are willing to Beat Down Truth-tellers who would Dare Expose Their “Me and Not You” Agenda – by Telling the Truth.

They don’t want to give up the Fairy Tale that America is thier Country, and Only their Country, and that Our Leader is the Unitary Executive in all his unquestionable entitlement as the embodiment of themselves.

Brava! Good on you! And Good on All who Peacefully raised their voice in Dissent against the Bush/McCain Abuse of Power – their exercise of Excluding the Rest of US from their care and concern, solely because We aren’t Like Them and won’t Blindly Toe-the-Line, needs to be Called Out for What It Is – a hidden and contrived Faux-Monarchy sloppily disguised with the veneer of Hollow Words, that Rewards Loyalty above Principle, while being enforced with Hateful “With us/against us” Prejudice.
